What services do you offer?

We have a variety of products available to our clients. From basic factoring services, consultative services, advance revenue contracts, inventory financing, leveraged financing, equipment financing, and bridge financing, to pre-investment and active capital raises, the Capital Stop can be your one STOP shop for ALL your capital needs.

What is factoring?

Factoring, in the context of finance and accounting, refers to a financial transaction where a company sells its accounts receivable, or outstanding invoices, to a specialized financial institution known as a factor. This is done to receive immediate cash or working capital, instead of waiting for customers to pay their invoices, which can often have extended payment terms.

Here's how factoring typically works:

  1. Invoice Generation: A business delivers goods or services to a customer and generates an invoice that specifies the payment terms, such as a due date (e.g., 30, 60, or 90 days).

  2. Selling Invoices: Instead of waiting for the invoice to be paid, the company sells one or multiple invoices to a factoring company at a discount. The factor advances a significant portion of the invoice's value (usually around 80% to 90%) to the selling company immediately.

  3. Collection by the Factor: The factor becomes responsible for collecting the full amount of the invoice from the customer on the specified due date. This includes the original invoice amount, minus the factor's fee or discount.

  4. Remaining Payment: Once the factor collects the full payment, they subtract their fee, which is usually a percentage of the invoice's face value, and transfer the remaining balance to the selling company. This balance is known as the "reserve."

Factoring is often used by companies that face cash flow challenges, need working capital for immediate expenses, or prefer to outsource the collection of their receivables. It can be especially beneficial for small and medium-sized businesses, as it provides a reliable source of cash without the need for additional debt.

Why should I use you over a bank?

While the advantages of using a bank are numerous to be sure, establishing a relationship with an outside lender has its own set of benefits as well. Banks often are handcuffed by their own policies and loan committees, and often set rigid qualification requirements, at the Capital Stop we make the rules! We listen to your story and incorporate those responses into the decision making process. While it is not viable for any finance provider to approve every application, we try our best to match the capital request and terms to the client and provide a path to getting the money you need as quickly and painlessly as possible. We add a human element to the process that is sadly becoming the way of the dinosaur in this tech driven world, how many computers do you know that have a sense of humor? We do and have fun doing it :).

Why Is The Sky Blue?

The blue color of the sky is primarily due to a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. Here's a simple explanation:

Sunlight is composed of different colors of light, each with a different wavelength. When sunlight enters the Earth's atmosphere, gases and particles in the atmosphere scatter the shorter wavelengths of light (blue and violet) more effectively than the longer wavelengths (red and yellow).

As a result, the blue light is scattered in all directions, giving the sky its blue appearance. This is why the sky looks blue during the day.

At sunrise or sunset, when the sun is lower on the horizon, the sunlight has to pass through more of the Earth's atmosphere. This causes more scattering of the shorter wavelengths, allowing the longer wavelengths to dominate. As a result, the sky often appears red, orange, or pink during these times.

Simple as that!

How fast can I get an advance?

Every situation is different, but barring any hiccups we can usually secure funding as soon as the next business day! Our usual funding times are less than 2 business days. We know "time is money" in this industry, so we pride ourselves on getting you taken care of as quickly as possible with rapid turn-around times. No waiting games here!

Which lenders do you have access to?

At the Capital Stop, you have the luxury to speaking TO the lender (us) vs. being an intermediary which so many others out there proclaim to be, but are actually most often just a brokerage. At the Capital Stop, we are able to listen to your business needs, capital requirements and get the background to help us get to a decision faster, and put the cash in your hands in as little as 48 hours for some clients. We also have the added benefit of having several lender partners that we can partner with for requests that may be outside the scope of our own portfolio. Rest assured, if we are not able to facilitate the request, chances are we have someone that can!

What Is James Bonds' Middle Name?

In Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels, James Bond's middle name is not mentioned. The character is simply referred to as James Bond. However, in the film adaptation and subsequent media, his middle name has been established as "Roger." Therefore, his full name is often given as James Roger Bond. It's worth noting that the middle name "Roger" is not part of the original literary character created by Ian Fleming.
